We have an opportunity for a Part-Time (30-35 hrs per week) Canine Concierge at our Roscoe location experienced in the Sales, Hospitality or Medical office industries, to join our growing company. At Meyers we have a two phase hiring process. Only those who complete both phases will be considered for employment.

Job Description

Pet care is the core of our operations and this position requires caring for all aspects of a pet during its stay.  We’re the life guards for people’s four legged family members  and strong attention to detail and a team player attitude are required, as is your love for pets! This person is often the point person of contact for new and existing customers to make sure all questions about Meyer’s are answered and the Canine Concierge is also the person to come up with solutions to make everyone’s stay exceeded their expectations.  Canine Concierge is one of the most important roles at Meyer’s. You are joining a team that strives to take customers all the way to “Wow!”, doing work that matters.  Meyer’s has a strong sense of community with many staff being part of the team for over 10 years – building, innovating, and being part of something bigger than themselves. The ideal candidate is seeking a long term seat, is responsible, lives in details and loves spreadsheets, punctual and dependable.  This position requires a dedicated level of professionalism and being comfortable on the phone, computers, and responding to all customer needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support Meyer’s mission
  • Greet customers over the phone and in the store with enthusiasm
  • Build genuine relationships with customers
  • Ensure the highest level of customer care, in line with Meyer’s mission and core values
  • Work as a team player to ensure each customer receives the best service possible
  • Assess customer’s needs and provide assistance and information on Meyer’s services’ & products’
  • Contribute to a high-energy, fast paced environment
  • Have the ability to book reservations and appointments
  • Be aware of upcoming events, sales and educational opportunities for our customers
  • Keep office and affairs organized and maintain a comprehensive filing system
  • Manage output, workflow, and office deadlines
  • Uphold all company policies


  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Computer literate with ability to use in-house software, e-mail, Word and Excel spreadsheets in a professional setting
  • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Meyer brand
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers
  • Strong work ethic with a “make-it-happen” attitude.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and salesmanship skills

  • Associate Degree or higher is preferred
  • Previous experience in a pet care industry a plus
  • Excellent work history and references

  • Pay and benefits negotiable, depending on experience. Performance based bonus upon approval.
