The Staff of Meyer’s Canine Colony

Office

Brandy Snyder, Office Manager

Brandy started with us in 2014 at our Tails Up Farm Office.  A great addition to our team with her passion for animals and “can do” attitude she soon found her niche as our Office Manager at Canine Colony.  If she is not welcoming pets and their people to when they come in to our front office,  she is keeping thing running smoothly behind the scenes.  If asked to choose a favorite breed of dog, Brandy says “MUTTS”  every dog she has ever owned has been a mix of breeds.  When not at work Brandy can be found with her horses, doing yard work and spending time with her husband and dogs (her “kids”)

Donna Anderson:  Administrative Assistant

Donna started at Meyer’s in January 2014 and we are so glad she did!  Donna is one of those versatile people who seems to be able to help out in any situation and she has a contagious positive attitude.  She has been married to her husband Doug since 1977 and her family includes two daughters and a son in law.  In addition to her love of pets, Donna enjoys going to Vintage Markets and antique shopping…she helps to find some of the very unique items we carry in our shops.  When she is not at work Donna loves volunteering at her church, crocheting, baking and getting together with family and friends.

Grooming

Michelle Carlson, Lead Groomer

Michelle began to work at Canine Colony in the Fall of 2007.  Michelle’s genuine love of animals was evident right away, and she quickly became a integral part of the grooming team.  She is a natural with the animals with her calm, friendly way of relating to them.  At home she loves puzzles, reading movies and spending time with her wonderful grandson Able. Her grooming skills come in handy at her home too, which she  shares with two soft coated wheaten terriers and 3 cats.

Shelby Miller, Groomer

Shelby started at Meyer’s in the summer of 2014.  Before coming to Canine Colony Shelby not only groomed pets but is also worked with children as a paraprofessional in Illinois.  While Shelby loves all breeds, her favorites are probably Cocker Spaniels and Schnauzers.  When not at work Shelby spends time with her four dogs and two cats, loves gardening, animals of all kinds,  and spending time with her very close family.
