Doggy Daycare

It’s More Than Sniffing, Barking and Rolling around

Our purpose with Doggy Daycare is to help each dog become a self-confident, well-rounded member of the family and of the human and dog community. We achieve this aim through continuous training in:

human-to-dog relationships and by educating owners on how to make their dogs enjoyable family members;

dog-to-dog relationships and appropriate play in and outside daycare.

Taking five approaches to build these relationships, we:

  1. Show owners the various ways they affect their dogs’ lives (good diet and how it improves canine health and relationships is just one example) and, in turn, dogs’ affects on their owners and the impact these relationships have at daycare and in the greater canine community
  2. Offer a supervised environment where dogs can learn good behavior from each other and engage in healthy canine play
  3. Train all participants in the five basic commands—sit, down, come, stop, and walk on a loose lead—and teach them to respond to these commands for each daycare instructor.
  4. Address individual needs of each dog since conflict and behavior problems stem from fear or frustration. This sort of personal attention virtually guarantees that daycare will be a pleasurable learning environment for all participants.
  5. Continue to educate ourselves so we can guide you and train your dog in the happiest of canine environments.

Out in the community, your dog is our calling card. We want to make a good impression.

Each month we highlight one daycare dog in the Daycare Digs Newsletter.
