Meyer's Welcomes the Dog Whisper to Town!
The Discovery Center Museum Auxiliary and Meyer’s Kennel are proud to bring Cesar Milan to Rockford on Saturday, October 18 2008. The successful dog behavior expert will be the feature of the Discovery Center Museum's annual fundraising event. We are proud to be a major part of this event and continuing the education of dog owners.
Meyer's will be a primary sponsor of the event and will be part of the pet expo held during the day at the Discovery Center.

Canine Aquatics Now Open!

Many customers have noticed our new pool that arrived last year at Meyer's in Belvidere. We are very excited to announce we will be offering swimming sessions canine recreation. Swimming is a fun and safe form of exercise that can be very beneficial to your dog. It is a great alternative to add to your dogs activities and will work different muscle groups while water offering buoyancy allows muscles to relax. Your dog will be accompanied by one of our swim coaches Bob, Gwen or Barb and you may sign your dog up for a 30 minute swim session by appointment or your dog can have swim sessions while lodging at Meyer's. OUTREACH PROGRAM

Meyer and a group of staff members have been teaching
kids about canines and responsible pet ownership. The
children receive some gifts and learning materials
from Meyer's and a special treat to take home to their
dogs. Meyer's brings dogs in for a demonstration
on dog sport activities. The children also learned
how to properly approach a dog & are given an opportunity
